As I rock our wee baby into the wee hours, I’ve had a simple chorus ringing in my mind:
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Christ is the Lord! Oh, praise His Name forever
His power and glory evermore proclaim…
His power and glory evermore proclaim…
This Christmas I wish you a peaceful Gospel, the breaking of chains, and the sweetness found in grateful hymns. Let all within us indeed praise the name of Jesus–the one who was born and who is coming again–forever.
I’m so thankful for you, friends.
Merry Christmas!
